For my first actual post, my list of MyLink peeves. I took delivery of my '14 LT on Monday and I'm already about to throw the thing back in the dealer's face. The stereo, not the whole car.
-doesn't play albums on my USB drive (a 16GB PNY) in track order.
-doesn't recognize .m3u playlists, which Chevy's "support" said was obviously due to a defective USB drive. Never mind that it functioned perfectly in my 2012 Cruze with the base stereo, or that it runs fine in my XP box at home and W8 box at work.
-only phone voice commands work, not the other commands detailed in the manual.
-shuffle turns itself on while I'm listening to an album via folder view.
-automatically switches to FM while searching for/scanning the USB drive.
-bluetooth lag (90-120 seconds for initial connection and 3-4 seconds during communication), sometimes have to toggle phone off and back on to get it to connect. Again, BT worked great in my Cruze, although the stereo would unpair/delete my phone if I toggled BT on within 30 seconds of starting the car.
-low bluetooth audio stream volume.
-3 music streaming apps, but only one nav app (which I tried and uninstalled after two incredibly aggravating hours).
The salesguy called me today to see how I was liking the car. "Great," sez I, "except that MyLink is a piece of crap." He was completely taken aback when I went over my gripes with it. If there's no firmware update available, I may see about getting them to replace it with a base stereo.
