Has anyone replaced a MyLink Radio?
If so, did you use the metra kit listed in the sticky or is there a different kit?
What is the best radio (double din touch screen) to retain the most factory functionality (integrated blue tooth, satelite radio, and onstar)?
I would also like speaker recommendations...

I talked with my dealer about it and the parts guy went over the wiring of the 13 and 14 with me. The wiring harness of the 14 has an extra connector which the 13 model does not in the rear hatch. So it would not only be a matter of just adding the part, and flashing the MyLink, but also replacing the wiring harness, or making a custom set of wires. Too much trouble to be worth it I think.

I would look for an aftermarket camera and see if you can integrate it into mylink via the aux video jack. Obviously you'd have to switch over to it on reverse but it's better than nothing.

GTPprix has cracked the MyLink code and I expect is now working on what harness upgrades will be needed. He together with ofer has done some amazing things for the Camaro including retrofitting MyLink to none MyLink equipped Camaros.
He has a thread in this section some may want to look at. Just look for the thread started by GTPprix.
The two of them go this route to stay as close to oem as possible.

Not sure if it's the same person, but I contacted a company that can add the backup camera functionality for about $150, but said to hold off as they are working on cracking the entire thing, so that you get back up camera + a lot more functionality. That was 2 months or so back. PM me if you want the info, I'll have to dig it up from my emails. Can't wait to get more use of my Mylink (shoulda called it "GMLink" as they have handicapped the damn thing so much rather than be supportive and make it more like Kia, Ford, etc)

I've read multiple sources saying the mylink supports up to 2,500 songs on a usb drive. However, mine will not read over 600. I put in my flash drive with 612 songs, and it read 56x. When I had 59X on it, it read all of them.
So, is the limit 2500 or 600, and if it is 2500 maybe someone can help me out?

Maybe try splitting them into folders. I definitely have a drive with over 1500 songs and all are recognized, but they are split up 100 songs per folder.

I bought this on a whim; it was an Amazon deal of the day thing, with a ridiculous price when I bought it ($15, I think):
Esky EC170-08 Waterproof Rear View Camera
It was cheap enough that I figured if it doesn't work, I'll use it for something else, I guess.
I added the following connectors:
Parts Express 3.5mm Plug (4 Pole) To 3 RCA A/V Cable 6 feet
The power input on the camera is 9-12V, so instead of tearing apart the wiring, I grabbed a 9V battery and hooked it up. I plugged the 3.5mm jack into the glovebox plug, and... noise. No video, just the warm hum of a voltage signal. So I figured the ring-outs on the 3.5mm plug must be in the wrong order for the application (turns out a RCA audio+video ring order on 3.5mm has several flavors). I swapped the yellow for the red, plugged it in, and Voila! A video feed from the camera to the MyLink head unit.
The audio channel was set to XM, and once I plugged in the 3.5mm jack it automatically switched to video. This was good news.
To further test the functionality, I then unplugged the jack, and disconnected the power to the camera. I set the station back to XM, plugged the jack in with no power, and the system stayed on the XM channel. Then I applied power. Double-voila! The system went to the camera once power was applied (as should happen with a proper in-car video display). So wiring it up to the reverse light is going to provide the functionality I need.
Next step is locating the install, and doing the wiring. I am considering under the HB's spoiler, but I'm not sure what kind of views (or more importantly, blind spots) I will get with that location. There's a lot going on where the plate/brake light/rear hatch release is, but I should really see what will look clean there without being in the way.
Caveats- this was in the driveway, with the parking brake on. So that may be a limiting factor. I'd have to try it without that on to see what I can do (' parked on a slope at the moment and didn't want to risk accidentally rolling into my wife's car).
