Also another thing to note is that Vince from trifecta said he wouldn't expect much of a difference from a bored and polished throttle body because of forced induction.

I may still of course try it just have to see if this pans out may be easier tho.

I would think it would depend on the size of the whole in the intake. If the throttle body is noticeably smaller then the intake hole then it will make a difference. If its about the same its probably not gonna do much without a larger intake.

well being on stock turbo and stock intake manifold, it'll mainly just increase throttle response, but if/when an aftermarket more free flowing intake manifold is released, the 2 will work hand in hand and make even bigger, more noticeable results

i hadn't put any thought into this yet, as its currently just an idea, but i think that would be a great place for a boost gauge hook-up, but idk if it would be accurate. idk for sure, i plan on just getting an UltraGauge if i can ever decipher their website and figure out which one to order lol

lol the way they have the webpage laid out is so confusing! i've ordered many aftermarket parts for a few cars over the years and everything has been cut-and-dry simple to comprehend, but UG decided to tell everyone to eff off you're on your own xD its kinda funny lol

Reese, there's three (or there was when I ordered a month ago). Basic, Plus and then an third one. The Plus is the best for us- the third is geared toward truck guys that want trans temp/etc. Most of the added features there are gauges we don't have.

For ~$10 more, the Plus is where it's at. But I found the site pretty simple.

Edit: Well look at that, there is two. Looks like the truck-oriented one isn't for sale anymore. Definitely get the Plus though.

I'm still debating on if I even want an UG or not. I have a cheap analog autometer boost gauge, but It's pretty inaccurate when all of the sudden I see the needle hitting the 30psi mark when boost should be capped out at about 22-23.

I decided on it for a few reasons:

There's no gauge pods on the market I like
It matches OEM pretty well
WAY more gauges available than you could install without going F-1 all over your dash
No way I could get 2-3 good gauges installed for even twice the price of the UG

Edit: And as Blue Moon Sonic reminded me, the built in code reader/clearer.

I think i'm just going to say hell with the analog gauge and just splurge for this. At least this comes with a built in code reader so I don't have to keep using my broke ass laptop.

yeah i agree, in my cobalt i had an aerforce interceptor OBD2 scan gauge (in the left pod) that read everything the ultra gauge does, but it could only display 2 parameters at a time. im definitely gonna get an ultragauge though cuz that was my favorite mod in the cobalt that wasn't a power adder
