they dont want you to burn through the clear
I see all the time: Mercedes, BMW, Cadillac, Audi, expensive cars with second class maintenance. I hate swirl marks and have always used wax to hide them. Waxing will cause marks, not from the wax, any and all rags will marr the surface. It is crazy to think a clear coat is so thin that buffing with a rag would deplete it...
To avoid swirl marks, I wash my car with the 2 bucket wash and never use a machine to buff when i polish but only my hands. 8-10hrs it takes me to do a wash, polish, glaze, wax and that's taking some breaks. That's why my right arm is bigger than my left arm. Lol
