Oh god yeah. Those moog endlinks are a huge improvement if you have stock suspension. The car just wants to corner all day with them and everything feels more precise and just feels smoother. Going down hwy 51 south at 115mph and making quick lane changes from lane to lane is smooth as hell and feels planted.

Yes, compared to the stock plastic end links. I think it is a worthwhile upgrade that does not cost much but makes a noticeable improvement in the handling.

For being a super-subcompact, this car is awesome. If all you care about is top speed, learn to drive. Going around a corner at 60 is a lot more fun than waiting forever to get to 160.

I think it's more of a curiosity than fun thing.

Did the car feel loose in the front? I did not see that you upgraded your front end links, might want to check out the Moog ones.

125mph is the fastest I've been in my '13 Rs. I was around that speed today just to test out what other ppl are reporting at higher speeds and I have to say my car is planted to the ground at all speeds.

I've hit 133 in my car on a flat straight in the country. Think I could go faster but chickened out.

I almost got up to 86 today....I've driven much worse cars that rode much much better at that speed. I'm not chicken, I'm just not stupid. Worst car I've driven over 75mph by a long shot.

If you are experiencing trouble at 86, you may want to have your Sonic checked out. I can lift my hands off the wheel and drive straight line at 85 for 15 seconds or longer, even following Tractor-trailers (which, actually, is why I did that experiment, too see why people were reporting major turbulence issues). Sticks to the ground in curves, drives steady and straight in the straightaways. No handling problems all the way up to 125, which is as high as I have gone... but I have gone 90 for hours at a time while driving across the country out west where the limits are higher.

There are better handling cars, no doubt about that, and you can improve the handling of your Sonic by doing a few mods... but straight out of the box, it should not be giving you any issues at 85, which is after all, highway limit speeds in some parts of the states.

There are zero mechanical issues with my sonic. Bought it new, it's got 12k miles on it now. The only thing done to it at this point was one oil change and a new window regulator. It's just not made to go fast, and that's why I bought it. I need to stay away from go fast cars because they give me more opportunity to get into trouble lol. But I didn't expect it to be as bad as it is to be honest. Guess I should have expected that from a 14k car.

My pic says 122 as you all can see. But I actually hit 125 but right as I took the picture, i crossed over a bridge, and it had a bump causing me to regroup and I took the picture at 122. Bone stock and a lot of high way

My car behaves badly at speeds so low they are legal in some parts of the country
Other, otherwise identical cars, do not behave badly at speeds much higher than my complaint threshold
and finally I have exceeded this speed frequently in other sorts of cars, so I am not claiming poor handling just because I am freaking out at speed.

One of these statements contradicts the others. I suspect statement one, and advise having the car checked for mechanical faults.

Statement three is the one you suspect, and I can see the logic, maybe you've only driven cars that are really good at speed, and maybe none of the other people who report that the Sonic is fine (could be improved, but fine) at speed know what they are talking about. This is possible, but frankly the odds are against it. And making this assumption doesn't lead to any helpful course of action.

Well put swordsmith. The trouble I have with this car is the fact that the front of the car rolls at different times than the rear of the car. Even at 40mph, if you stab the steering wheel in either direction as if you were avoiding a pothole or something of the like, and really pay attention to it, the rear takes miles to catch up to the front. I don't know if it's the height of the car or possibly even the height of the sidewalls, but I could see how one could over correct based on feeling this problem. I feel like the rear shouldn't be that far behind the front, and it's been this way since the first time I rolled the car off the lot. I've been 149ish in my PT Cruiser (eibach springs stock suspension otherwise), 143 in my 74 camaro (stock 30 year old suspension no front sway bar), 145 in my 05 maxima (bone stock no mods at all), and 184 in a 3000gt (highly modded, cheating I know lol) and none of these cars mentioned have anything close to as much roll as the sonic does. I guess it just takes some getting used to?

A few weeks back I encountered one of those "Richards" that decided the only time he wanted to go over 55mph was when I wanted to pass him on a two lane country highway....poor choice that most make...in no time I was at 118mph at 5500rpm in 4th. I tell you what, it was aching to keep going, I just wish I'd had the road to upshift because 150mph would've easily been in my future!! ALTHOUGH, for safety, I wouldn't recommend that without my Yoko's or comparable rubbin' the road and NOT the LEGO rubber that comes stock.

135 with stock 17" rims and Ironman tires on my LTZ hatchback. Just put 15" steel wheels and Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires. I think those are rated for 112, so it will be a while before I can go fast again...
