Haven't gone triple digits yet, last time i was speeding I got pulled over. I did faster on the road next to my house though, that was scary and never doing that again, lots of people have died on that road. I did 91 on that back round and then let off. I was only doing 80 when I got pulled over I say only in respect to the speed of which I was going on the back road. Id say it would probably do 150 or a little more.

those lights are from most likely from pulling the ABS Fuse.

Hit my top speed 128 a few weekends ago. Conditions wouldn't let it go any faster.

I think that's the highest I've seen for a stock 1.8. But there can be tailwinds, road terrain, ect that alter the top speed. Unless we both are on the same track( or road) at the same time it is hard to compare a 3mph difference

All things being equal a manual will have a higher topspeed because it has fewer Drivetrain losses. That means more power to the wheels.

But as you mentioned there are alot of variables that have a more significant impact on speed.

I made sure the camera caught some of the surroundings so it would not be mistaken as real..... Well aslong as people looked closely lol.

Like a locked torque converter? Once it locks the parasitic drag in an auto is just damn near on par with a manual.

Does the TCC stay locked at WOT? While I could be mistaken, higher throttle positions disengage/disallow engagement of the TCC

TCC stays locked. That allows the trans to run reduced main pressure and helps keep temps down on over driven autos. You might be thinking back to the old 700R-4/4L60E that wouldn't allow OD at WOT.
