I just bought a bnr last week due to food reviews from it. A lot of people praise Jerry and BNR for his responsiveness. Although I've sent a couple emails and never answered. I would assume he's busy right now with it being tax time.

I suggest you buy the equipment to write engine tunes, spend lots of time to find a balanced tune, then allow every goober with a variance the ability to have their tune custom programmed....I have had problems with his responsiveness all the time, logs sent no reply, no reply on fb messenger no reply when asked a question on bnr discussion. Kinda of feel miffed about this whole, you're buying a tuning service deal when I don't get the tuning service.. Kind of feel suspicious when he says message me tomorrow and i'll do your logs first thing and then when I do I don't hear back for a week. Don't tell me you're going to do my logs first thing if you aren't. That kind of dishonesty is what led me away from trifecta. I bought his "tuning service" based on everyone saying how awesome his customer service is and how awesome his tune is but so far not living up to my expectations.
He needs some sort of que system for people waiting in line so people don't feel left out in the cold on their tune. Something like how online universities grade papers, you submit your paper (this case a data log) and it tells you your spot in the que. I'm just gonna take a wait and see approach from now on, if don't hear back then i'll just chock it up as a loss and never buy anything from BNR again. I kind of feel like a moron, when I went and bought BNR stickers and plastered them all over my sonic.. I too wanted to represent BNR and praise him but i'm not going to be fake and tell people that its all gravy and say I get a response back right away.People need to know these things to make an educated purchase. I purchased his tune based on everyone saying how awesome his customer service is and how awesome the tune is. Either they are lying about the customer service or he's gone down the drain. The whole telling me one thing and not doing it also makes me not trust BNR. Sure its busy its tax season but people pay money for this "service". When I heard people say yeah he responds back "in a day or less" or "I submitted a data log at 11 west coast time and he got back to me an hour later, I was shocked how good his customer service is". Then I don't get any response back from him at all through various channels its just ugh makes me wish I never spent the money.
And by the way, Trifecta isn't any better at customer service, you'll be waiting just as long.
I suggest you buy the equipment to write engine tunes, spend lots of time to find a balanced tune, then allow every goober with a variance the ability to have their tune custom programmed....
Once you get there you better learn to be humble because one month of slow (Not neglected, just slow) responses will have every wannabe forum professor ****ying on your reputation.
Calm your tits, your tune didn't go to crap because of a temporary delay in his otherwise stellar track record
.....drive it like you still owe the bank money
No, he's suppose to dial it in for you. Gives you a base tune and you drive it around and see how you like it. If you want to make changes he's suppose to do that for you. For example if you want better fuel economy or whatever. Then he's suppose to make that happen.so why is there so much back and forth after u get a tune ? dont they sell a tune that u load onto ur car and be done with it. seems like these tunes need more love and affection then my wife and 8 month old . am i missing something here ? i look at these prices, hundred and hundreds of dollars . are guys modding their cars so often u need a new tune every week or are tunes a bad idea cause they need constant babysitting . i plan on doing an intake and maybe an exhaust on my car and from what i understand im going to need a tune b4 i see any performance gains but everytime i read a thread about tunes on this site i baiscly read nothing but negative comments, which makes me think keeping the car stock is just easier .![]()
.... I've had great success with WOT on getting help and the tune is running perfectly fine and has been for several months. I do think the tune has something to do with my UG not being able to record a 0-60 time but I still haven't nailed that down yet.
Great driveability with the updated tune that was available in December of 2015. Load it and go. And the switch to the stock tune by using the cruise switch is still the coolest thing about it. Lots more pop in the vehicle when the hot tune is selected. Best 0-30 time I had before was 2.4 seconds - tuned I've seen as low as 1.84 (but I question that) with around 2.0 seconds now the norm. The run from 30 to 60 always took 5.2 - 5.4 seconds stock - that number tuned is always below 5 seconds with a best of 4.4 seconds. Like I said, I can't seem to get a complete, hard 0-60 with the UG and the tune. I'm trying a couple of different iPhone apps to try and snag some good runs.

Hey man just so you know you will still see proper gains with bolt ons (intake, exhaust) with a stock tune. The throttling that you hear about on these forums are only in automatic transmissions. If you drive a manual (which you do) then you don't have to worry. There is torque management in the motor itself but it doesn't work the way people say it does on these forums.
I've been reading extensively and have been speaking to my gm guys to figure out this torque management crap. At the end of the day these static tunes are too much for our economy motors. When i see people running 23 psi with absolutely nothing else done to their car i can't help but cringe. If you really want to tune your car properly take it to a shop that knows small gm motors. Bluejay i know you live close so i will PM you more details soon.
Let the flaming begin.
Everyone that's claimed it had experienced it first hand, it's not "fanboy" related. Hell, I emailed him a question about something totally unrelated and he got back to me within the hour.Just telling it like it is. Everyone says he's got this awesome customer service.I haven't seen it. I'm not going to sit here and kiss his ass, he has to prove to me before I praise him, that goes for every company I buy things/get services from. I'm not just a fanboy. I want proof that things are as good as people claim they are. And being dishonest isn't the best way to win over a customer.

For the record, Jerry doesn't sell his Customer Service (it's just part of his makeup) so if you don't see it you're not any worse off than if you had spent your money elsewhere.
