you'd probably get knock at WOT.

Intelliboost is only on stock tune unless you ask trifecta for it.

91 on a 93 tune in a pinch should be fine as long as you stay away from full throttle demand. You just wouldn't want full timing advance to happen or you might get knock.

What is this 93 tune you all are talking about. When I sent them a log file I told them that I used 93 and wanted to have my tune adjusted for it but they didn't send me any tune file.

trifecta uses 93 as the baseline, unless you request lower, such as 91.

I did but they just said everything looks fine and I got no tune back. I told them that I run 93 and would like to see if you guys could tune my car for 93 and all I got back was everything looks good. And that's one of the reasons I was slightly pissed off the other week because I felt like I bought the extra support for nothing.

That's the one answer I have been trying to procure without asking...what octane is the base full tune for. So there it is 91. Thanks Eric and Vince for all the knowledge

I'd request it again, and mention your concern in detail.

They might of missed that it wasn't just a standard data-log update request.

They deal with a lot of files, and missed my CEL delete request for my downpipe the first time before the new EZ flash version came out that allows me to do it myself.

Only if you request it, and then they cap your boost @22, apparently.

Octane booster is one of the less argued performnace products, because is doesn't make enough difference to be reliable.

If you want to do some octane tinkering of your own for track days and such, I would recommend you research TORCO Accelerator. It is a race fuel consentrate that u mix with your choice of gasoline, not a bunch of "additives" and "detergents" that boost octane

They have a very detailed website, and lots of the dragster guys at my local track trust and use this stuff for 1,000Hp plus applications(making up to 115 Octane).

Interesting I just went to Torco's website. That accelerator stuff is very intriguing. I've used their fuels before, but not this stuff.

The mix chart is what really piqued my interest.

I'll bet it's mostly aromatics with some oxygenators based on the ratios.

My sensibilities tell me any FI engine should be on a higher octane fuel. The OM states 87 but it does not specify engine.

From my experience running to high an octane in a car programed to run on 87 will over time result in carbon build up and decreased performance. Conversely, running FI on 87 will have your computer retard timing and make the car run like crap.

Can someone direct me to any sites that make an official call on octane here? Dealer does not even seem to be sure.
