Going on tomorrow if all goes as planned. The directions from VCP say I should cut the stock exhaust about 15" behind the muffler. Does anyone know if that is really necessary?
I cut mine at the straight portion heading to the rear right in front of the rear tire. I did it in the middle of the straight section so that I can add a flange on it if/when I go back to stock if I choose to sell it.
I have to work again today but I will try to take some vids with my phone at some point. Another little side note...the UPS shipping weight for the entire package was only 31lbs. On another note...I did take a magnet to the pipes and noticed a very small welded in section seems to be magnetic. My guess is someone grabbed the wrong material for that one foot bend...the rest is in fact 304 SS. I sent an email to Van about it and am waiting to see what they say. Can't wait to drive to work
Its not too bad in the car...louder for sure...but I am running the Sport version which is basicly the cat-back with test pipe. If I put the second cat back in I'm sure it would be a little more mellow. I really am enjoying it. I'm uploading a second video of me driving...not sure how well it will turn out.
Made the vids on the fly while I had a few minutes at work...so they aren't anything great but hopefully they give a good impression of what the system sounds like. It is a little loud but again removing one of the cats is like removing another mini muffler.
