This is how to enable Mirror Link
Ok so here is how to get mirror link working. I was hoping that the video unlock was more successful, but there are many conflicting reports on the actual status. In any case. Here is the tutorial for both.
I DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE THINGS YOU DO TO YOUR CAR. IF YOU BREAK IT OR MODIFY IT, THAT IS ON YOU. I GIVE YOU THIS IN GOOD FAITH THAT YOU WILL ATTEMPT THIS ONLY IF YOU HAVE SOME KIND OF KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE IN THIS TYPE OF ACTIVITY. GOOD LUCK AN REPORT YOUR SUCCESS OR FAILURE HERE
Recommended tools:
An old school stylus (not capacitive more like one from a palm pilot).
A USB thumb drive with appropriate free space.
A general knowledge of windows and how to navigate without a keyboard would be a good idea.
Do not do this on firmware 13, or 23, or if you only see one of the "StorageCard" drives.
It is really meant for firmware 20, that one has the most success.
Version 20.03, by all reports, is actually the fastest and most stable one out even though there are newer versions.
MirrorLink Enable - I can only confirm seeing the icon, and that the executable does exist in the version 20 firmware.
1. Enable developer mode. (From the main menu, Tap 10x in the upper left corner. Enter code 20110827.)
2. Start the explorer by clicking on my device.
3. Open the drive called "StorageCard" and navigate to "system"
4. Find the file called "ClientAppInfo.bin" and put it on the SD card... i think it is called "MC". This will be your backup. Do not loose this file.
5.After you copy that file to a safe place (drop box, email, your computer). Extract the contents of the attached ClientAppInfo.zip file to the thumbdrive and copy it to the 2 following directories: "StorageCard\system" and "StorageCard2\system". The only file in the zip is ClientAppInfo.bin. Yes you will need to overwrite the file.
6. Turn your car off, open the door and have a beer / smoke / shot of wiskey / or smoke a bowl, what ever your pleasure, but you need to give the mylink time to power all the way down (about 5 minutes is good).
7. Start your car and you should now have mirror link enabled.
A few things that others have been saying. MirrorLink only works on certain phones and over USB. I do not have an android phone... so I cant test that it works (MirrorLink), I just have an Icon with MirrorLink where I did not before.

I know that we are all dissapointed that the video unlock did not pan out, it seems to work for some and not for others. Here is what others are saying works:

4. Back up the files called "MgrMcm.exe" and "MgrMcm.map"
5. Copy the files "MgrMcm.exe" and "MgrMcm.map" to "StorageCard\system" and "StorageCard2\system"
6. Turn your car off, open the door and have a beer / smoke / shot of wiskey / or smoke a bowl, what ever your pleasure, but you need to give the mylink time to power all the way down (about 5 minutes is good).
7. Video Lock (maybe) disabled.

For those interested in modifying the UI check out the "StorageCard\system\img\BYOM" Folder... There are lots of images in there... so I will leave that there for you.
A general rule of thumb or wrist, you must replace files in both storage card locations for the modification to take effect. Also, diarrhea.
