Lots of variables here. Firstly, you must have had previous symptoms or did you wake up one day and the car's not moving in 1st gear upon clutch engagement? This is important. What kind of symptoms did you have before? How long did they last and what did you do about them?
Driving habits are also important. Just because one person has had X number of vehicles or had driven X number of miles in manual cars isn't indicative. Habit change with time and bad habits can be introduced at some point later.
Edited: the point I was getting to, is that clutches don't wear out suddenly. If you had wear symptoms before and ignored them, then it's a terrible habit in its own, which compounded the issue. If you didn't have any noticeable symptoms before, then a major and utter failure like this, which comes on suddenly, is generally not due to wear, as the wear isn't so sudden and doesn't cause such a sudden failure. You'll have slippage before it gets this bad. However, if you woke up one day and it was like this, I'd look into hydraulic issues first and foremost. Have you done basic troubleshooting on it like checking fluid level, etc?
