I would think that since the IM / pcv is covered under powertrain an extended powertrain should still cover it. That IM is a $270 part, no small change, so fight if you need to make sure it's covered!
I replaced the IM without using GM warranty mainly because I wanted to port the manifold. At the time I also didn't feel like dealing with GM to replace it then still have to remove it myself to port it. Now, if the orange pcv fails again I'll warranty it and skip the porting.
I didn't replace the pcv hose to the turbo though so I'll need to check if that one way valve is still functioning correctly at the turbo inlet side.
Did a recheck last weekend and the orange pcv is still there after 5k miles and 3 months:

Yes, def going to get them replace it under warranty.
