Just called my dealership to set up an appointment for some minor issues, the hatch won't open and get the bringgo update done. They told me its not out yet, and they don't know who said it was out. Anyone know where I can tell them to find it because apparently members of SOF know more about these cars than they do. I already downloaded it from the App Store to show them it is out when I get there but it would be nice to get the radio updated so it works correctly

Your dealership should be able to update your MyLink to include Bringgo currently. Not sure why they're saying they are unable to do so unless they don't have the technology at their location.

If you would like for me to research this for you before your service appointment, please private message me your first and last name, the last 8-digits of your VIN, address, city, state, current mileage, contact phone number and the involved dealership.

Prior to having my radio updated with the appropriate update, when I requested the update at my dealership, the Tech told me, "We don't regularly flash the radio, because the warranty doesn't cover it unless there is an issue."

In short, this is either a systemic issue of misunderstanding the warranties and what the dealership can bill forward, or its just a systemic misunderstanding about what the radio updates are supposed to address and accomplish. Either way, someone at big GM needs to address it and make clear that all owners are entitled to all/any radio updates, because it is part of the support of a product we have already purchased.

Well, its been a few days, and I can safely say that everything works well, no rattles or weird noises. Have not down loaded the bringgo app, because it has disappeared from the Google store for my droid.

Ok. Just dropped my car off at the dealer. They say pi0914 may be my problem with the radio going to xm 1 when I start the car but still know nothing about bringgo. We'll see if it shows up when they're done.

Not the tech. The service writer. I was a gm tech years ago. I only dealt with 1 or 2 serv writers who had a clue in the 10 years I was a tech.

The service writer told me the update is done. He hasn't checked to see if bringgo is part of it yet. He said they don't do updates to the radios unless there is a problem with the radio. I would think not having what it should is a problem. They have to keep the car to fix the other issues so I won't know till tomorrow when I get it back.

I now have the TuneIn and BringGo apps on my stereo. Also, the BringGo navigation worked absolutely fine for my drive home.

what's involved in updating the Mylink? Since there's a USB input, wouldn't the update be basically a flash off a usb drive?

If so, couldn't GM just post the latest firmware version for the various Mylink types online?

Glad it worked out for you. I wasn't so lucky. Pandora's gone, TuneIn icon is there but says it isn't installed on my phone, and no BringGo US (W. Europe, Brazil, and China instead)

Did I even get the right update? Version now says it's SW part number: 13.02-95371037 It's like they spent the hour and a half I was waiting to set up some elaborate practical joke that I don't quite get.

On a positive note, the update added the ability to select how many pages of favorites MyLink has (1 to 7). I think I'd rather have Pandora back at this point.

@Natesriv, if the popping noise you're hearing is the same as what mine had, it's a loose rear suspension brushing. Mine was more noticeable (and eventually became constant) when driving on rough surfaces such as brick roads and when coming to a stop.

That's what I thought at first. This morning I decided to hit up the Service Department on my way to work and on my way there I brought up the apps list. SURPRISE! it was back to "normal" Pandora was back, Stitcher was still there, TuneIn was still there, and the US/Can version of BringGo. Almost like it phoned home and figured out what region it was *supposed* to be in.

I wish. Stitcher just operated like usual. TuneIn just pops up a message saying "Application not installed or device not connected."

Unfortunately, even after coming to America, BringGo and TuneIn still won't launch even though the application *is* installed and the device *is* connected.

yep. I had to re-pair my phone after the update and adjust the clock even though it was set to automatic updating (ot: what's up with that? every time they flash MyLink I get it back and the time is off by an hour). I tried a factory reset on the radio and that didn't do anything other than make me re-configure all of my preferences...

I called up MyLink Support on my drive to work and after about half an hour (most of that sitting in the parking lot at work) we'd gathered all the version info and configuration settings that we could and they're looking into it. I'm sure we'll figure it out. I just hope we do before my 30 day trial for BringGo runs out
