Custom HID projectors w demon eye mod

I'll try and get a pic this weekend if it ever stops raining.

The DRL's are basically disabled by the relay. I never get flickering. It just turns the lights on reguardless of day/night time. I can still turn them off by flicking the knob to the left.

Just curious, what did you use to cut the lights open?

Simply a dremel with a reinforced cut-off wheel. Sliced through the lens like butter. The best part about the sonic lights is the shroud with rings cover up almost the entire area I had to reseal.

Do it! you know you want to! You can find used lights for under $100. I think i'm the only one in the states with projectors on a sonic. What type of projectors are they?

They're 50mm modules from Hella. They're compact, sealed halogen lowbeam projectors that use H7 bulbs.

I don't see any undamaged Sonic headlights for less than $150 on ebay, although I'm likely only seeing sellers willing to ship internationally. Which is still a lot cheaper than I would have guessed for a newish OEM headlight.

Yeah many of the ebay ones are missing tabs or have swirls in the lens'. I'll sell my OEM pair for 250 obo, you pay shipping. Under 2k miles on them before I swapped my projectors into a used set. PM me if you are interested.

How much would you want to make another set of those headlights but in either White or Blue Demon Eyes?

If you were to purchase everything for the build.. Lights, Projectors, HID's.. etc..

A full typical retro usually ends up between 7-800. A good set of projectors alone are 300. Omen me if you're interested.

I have laying around a set of 99 Acura RL hid headlights that are OEM. Only thing is it does not have that projector style of light or rounded part like yours. Wonder if I can make this work.

I don't understand why the RS doesn't have them. The shape is perfect for projectors. On that note, I will be doing a retrofit for BKamp613's cyber gray RS in the coming weeks.

Ahhh damn, I've got the hid reflector style which sucks because it will have a glare and blind people. Lol gotta keep looking at my local scrap yard places.

If they were made for HID, then glare should be minimal. They would be made to spread the extra light out more to the sides. Halogen reflectors are more focused to make the most of their output.

I just redid the wiring over the weekend to get the Bi-xenon to work with the projectors. The original wiring for my projector wasn't plug and play what so ever. I'll get some pics up later when I re-install them.

I've done a set for another member on here(Bkamp) and his RS. They turned out great also! Lmk if you want me to build you a set.
