For what its worth, I cant figure out how to voice dial in my 2016 with MyLink either. Galaxy Note 5.

If you hold the talk button on the steering wheel for a few seconds it should activate your phone's voice command over Bluetooth.

So I called the Chevy Infotainment customer service today to ask about getting the BringGo update on my 2013 Sonic, but he was telling me they discontinued it and you can no longer get it. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not?

I cannot confirm, but it does not surprise me that no one wanted to pay 60 bucks for an android app.

I purchased a used 2013 Sonic LTZ last week and didn't have the BringGo app on the mylink radio, so I took it in today and asked for it to be updated, so when I got it back they said they updated it but it still didn't have the BringGo app. The SW I am at now is 10.29-95283115. Does that mean I can't get it on my radio or they just updated it to an older software version?

The BringGo app is available in the Play Store if you have an Android phone. I'm sure the system uses that app to provide the mapping system. The app is ultimately $50 bucks.

They are killing off "bringgo" support because they will release Android Auto soon.

Further bad news, Android Auto will not be backwards compatible

Really?? Have you tried it on your phone yet? Uhhhh all I can say is "no thanks"

If you have a Samsung "car mode" is just as good and coordinates better with the myLink

Look at the phone when it initiates a voice function. The phone will request which app to use. Select your preferred (if Android I suggest Google).

You may have to repair the unit, but mine (galaxy s5) works in both driving mode or standard mode equally well.

I can use the steering wheel button (holding the top button) to initiate voice commands

I read somewhere that chevy dealers will update MyLink for free to compatible vehicles. And to be compatible you must have an 8" MyLink installed, but then it goes on to say that the 7" MyLink doesnt require the update, because it should already have it.

They've gotten some very negative feedback from customers and employees, so it's possible they will do an update.

At this time there is no update for the 8"myLink

....if it has tits or tires it can be upgraded

Does this head unit have an integrated gps antenna or a gps antenna port?

I ask because my Pyle PLDNB78I in my other vehicle runs on wince 6 and has two memory cards just like the mylink.

The gps software (Primo) is stored on one of the memory cards. I was hoping to copy the software to one of the memory cards on the mylink and find a way to modify the gui to add a shortcut. I tried running the software from a usb stick while in explorer mode but got a "this is not a valid windows ce application" error. I will keep working on it if the mylink has a gps antenna or if one can be added. I was thinking it may be there already to support onstar or something.
