Add Cruise Control?

Let us know/keep us informed. I'm deployed and would love to spend the money on this upgrade when I get back. I'm still worried about the 12 to 13 difference. My 10 Sierra doesn't have the OnStar app capability but the 11 did and they could not push an update to get it for me even though it was one of the only big differences from 10 to 11.

No. Base model LT. The only option I got was the important one... 1.4T. I should have just waited and ordered the connectivity package though. Then I would have zero complaints about the car (cruise! and the radio controls and BT wouldn't have been bad...) and wouldn't mind taking it on road trips.

This thread seems to be mostly about adding factory cruise control but I wanted to throw out another option. I added an Audiovox CCS-100 aftermarket cruise control to my last car and it worked very well, it does come with it's own control for setting speed, etc but you can also control it using most factory buttons. So as long as it would work with the Sonic cruise control button pad it would look very factory.
I don't remember how much it cost exactly but it was a little over $100. The car I installed it on was a manual, it taps into the tach and VSS signal in addition to the obvious brake light signal, and since it monitors RPM it has over-rev protection incase you accidentally slip it into neutral with the cruise control engaged.
You need to be a good DIY-er to install as it is a universal kit, not Sonic specific, but it is a good inexpensive option.

I think most of us want a factory install. This is also available..... Chevy Sonic Cruise Control Kit (2012) Rostra 250-9618 It's plug and play but who wants a stalk when you can have a factory set up.

I really hope it does work. I didint get cruise control because at the time they didint have them here at my dealer and it was like 3k less than the ones with cruise

All I can do is hope..... Once I get back I will probably contact them directly and see what we can work out. I'm not sure if any 12 LT's got radio controls and not cruise. The connectivity package gave you both and the next lower option was absolutely nothing....

I had cruise control (part number 95142787) added to my '13 Sonic LS hatchback manual today. As sonic351 mentioned the dash light doesn't come on but the cruise control works fine.
I have a call in to see if they need to perform an additional step to get the display working which would be nice.

what did it run u from the dealer if u don't mind me asking?

The book has it at $385 for the new steering wheel that adds the cruise control buttons, installation and programming + tax.
The steering wheels can be found cheaper online but you might want to check with your dealership to see if you can BYOP.
Call your dealership ask if the accessory, part number 95142787, will work with your VIN.
