Air Leaking Noise In Car

So while driving if i have the radio turned off and all fans off i can hear what sounds like an air leak from 24mph and up. This happens with or without my foot on the throttle so i thought that might rule out intake noise or even boost leak but i could be wrong. If i had to describe it i would say it sounds like a leaking tire. I feel like i hear it through the dash. I didn't know if this was engine related or what. Was hoping some one on the forums might have an idea or experienced the same sounds. Perhaps its normal and I've just never listened for it. I also hear ticking from the top end(injector i would guess) that started about a week ago. Pretty loud in the cabin while at idle. Thought i would ask in case there could be any connection between the two noises.

I think we have direct injection, which is louder than normal injection...very clicky.

The noise...not sure.
You might try (with the fan on 1 or off) cycling through all the vent positions...
Good rubber seals on doors?
Windows all the way up ? No ice on car?

I found right after I bought my Sonic a bad wind noise coming from the rear hatch area. I was able to pinpoint it by putting some tape on top of the seam between the rear hatch and roof, just at the top there.

I really doub't that's your noise...but it is a source of noise that's just part of the car (easy fix if you want I'll PM you)...but taping that little section might help eliminate some ambient noise which may help you with your current noise.

I had thought wind resistance possibly but it just seems to consistent(noise level wise) to be due to air flow over the vehicle but who knows. I made a dealership appointment for this Wednesday to have everything looked at....just in case.

I know the air leaking noise you speak of. I've heard it too. No idea what it is. If the dealer has any insight, let me know.

Ive heard a high pitch noise while at idle that sounds like air leaking. I've noticed it since I first bought my sonic.

I have noticed recently, a high pitched noise like a bad stereo install...that electic whine which rises with RPM's... but I'm all stock.

I would tape that rear hatch up with some scotch tape and take a spin....
