They just got done with it. The tech just got off with gm and they said the mylink radios are not meant to have the bluetooth voice recognition feature at all.
Steering wheel button or mirror button to access voice commands?
After messing around with the mylink I discovered something quite unusual. With the iPhone Bluetooth paired, press the steering wheel phone button once to pull up the call screen. Now press and hold said button. Now you will hear the distinctive Siri beep. Say call whomever and voila you essentially have a pass thru for Siri on your mylink. Screw you, GM!
Samsung Galaxy S II:
Bluetooth:
Phone - Works
Audio - Works. Steering wheel controls (next, back) work as well. Sounds great.

Nexus 4 all bluetooth features work. No USB charging or audio.
Are you able to see the track metadata on your display?
That's what I figured. I was hoping 4.2.2 would have resolved but we will have to wait. Don't really want to root my phone for something stupid like this.
I'm not sure if it's posted anywhere else on the forums, I searched and didn't find it. So I'm not sure if everyone is aware of the bluetooth update from GM via OnStar. I have an HTC One V (Virgin Mobile). My phone would work on the bluetooth but audio never would. I heard of this update and called OnStar, I didn't have an active account either. They completed the update and I got 30 days free basic OnStar. Now my phone connects for the handset and music! Love it!
Here's the info I found: The software update, according to the GM, will modify the current Bluetooth hands-free calling system to recognize most current smartphone technology and maintain the connection. In addition, the update will be available through OnStar at no charge until September 30, 2016. And if an owner does not have a current OnStar subscription, one will be provided free of charge for 30 days.
My phone wasn't even on the list for the updated for devices but it's also not a full list. To update you just hit your OnStar button, tell them you want the bluetooth update. Takes about 10 mins for the car to receive the update. You're done from there.![]()
After talking with onstar, and getting the runaround for 20 minutes, I finally got them to admit they have an update. They said this one you mentioned was already done automatically, but they have another that can be done over the air in 24-48 hours by their escalation team. I'll see if anything comes of that.
