Well i emailed them and this is what i asked.. if i could get red couplings and that i didn't need all the charge tubes since i already have an intake and a drivers upper hard tube..

and they said this...they can only do the couplings in blue and black can't do red..

and they cant separate the tubes..

to me this seem like not much of an option.. its all or nothing..
i think they are losing business this way..

so I won't be buying it.. there lose i will take my money else where..

They get a box of parts from China and aren't willing to break it up, it makes sense from a business stand point. They would have to rebox and market the individual parts. You could always sell the intake and drivers side hard tube to someone on the forum if you're really interested in the kit.

That's just an educated guess and if they won't break up stuff like DDM (a real shop that goes out of their way to customize to individual needs) then they are probably just a retailer.

I wouldn't expect a company to break up a kit for a couple pcs (which they then have to hold for a loss or unlikely find someone to part out too). I also would not ask them to separate the kit for 2 measly silicone tubes, It's a budget kit!

The tubes likely cost the most production-wise. Guess what that means?

For 100 bucks you could buy from siliconintakes.com and get the smaller one that they have. looks like it would fit in where the stock one currently sits, and it would probably be a decent upgrade from stock. if you're just looking to see if an intercooler upgrade could give a HP gain or a temp difference

I don't believe what i asked was unreasonable. I mean most companies put a kit together to say money to the consumer if it was all individual they could make more of a profit off it in my mind..

Oh I read what you wrote and I Don't think you're stupid. All's I was trying to say is that there is alot included for $419, that's almost the cost of the DDM works charge tubes (silicone + hard tubes) and intake sans heat shield and they've added an intercooloer. they're likely counting on moving a large quantity of "packaged" parts to make money, it doesn't seem like a kit with much mark up involved. THis unfortunately, typically means much less flexibility on their end.

What you asked was not unreasonable, them not breaking up the kit was not unreasonable, and them not offering red is not unreasonable; although the strangest of the 3, reds pretty freaking popular!

My intent was not to be a d!ck or call you stupid, I was just trying to say it's a cheap kit and options should be expected to be at a minimum because budget bauss kit; my delivery was off thou

Hey guys

First off sorry for the multiple posts, just wanted make sure everyone could get a look before the posts got shuffled out of sight.

I will try to get this kit asap and do some testing, with both intercoolers and even my intake vs the cx included. I will collect as much data as i can short of a dyno.

The main benefit of this kit would be for people just starting to upgrade the turbo sonic, then the people looking for a complete hard tube kit. I do know that the intercooler in this kit is listed on cxracing for around $120 I think, and the intake is around $100. So u would be getting 2" ID hard tubes from the turbo to the throttle body for $200 pretty much. Also these tubes replace the two "restrictive" pieces, the one right after the tubo, and the plastic elbow with a sensor that connects the lower cold side tube to the upper, giving u a true 2" ID flow matched charge tube set. I know there will be nothing special about the intercooler, and if DDM does indeed make one, that will be a better intercooler with numbers to back it up. Again I will do some testing asap to give u guys any info I possibly can .

I think a valid test would be if you ran the track a couple different days after the IC swap..... If you can get a 14.75 with no other mods, I will be convinced that the IC kit is beneficial.opcorn:

I wouldn't consider this either. It's cheap Chinese/Taiwan made BS. Piping yea fine but that IC is likely a leaky POS. QC is likely little to none

You can barely buy a quality IC core for the price of that whole kit. Now weld on the end tanks, top and bottom plates and mounting holes.

Read about quality intercoolers you get what you pay for trust me

Exactly. I expect DDMW's to be $300+ for the I/C alone, if not more. But like I've said about DDMW, he considers his time and research, and prices his items accordingly so we get the best deal while he still gets a reasonable profit for his efforts.

This being the case, even if he charges $500 for an Intercooler, I'll know it's worth every penny.opcorn:
