Fog Light Installation

I just checked with my Chevy dealer about dealer installation costs on OEM foglights. They charge 2.5 hours, including programming, which at $ 100/hour is $ 250 labor. That's excessive considering you must spend at least $ 225 on the fog OEM fog light kit.(dealer retail about $ 275).

I installed GM OEM fog lights on my Silverado pickup and the kit was only about $ 200 from a GM dealer and did not require removal of the front grill or any programming. This was on an '06 pickup.

If you instlall the OEM fog light by yourself, dealer charges 1 hour ($ 100) to program them. So it will be at least $ 325 for the fog lights.

My eBay non oem kit is running great wired it right into the running lights so they're always on

Took maybe 20 mins to install total with bumper removal and reinstall

I don't think so... don't see that white washer bottle neck in this pic.

I think that's right under the drivers side front wheel well liner (it's a two piece affair)..
If I'm looking at that right... but see the front wheel liner that...that can come out entirely, just a few torx screws and those plastic clips

Yes, but it is not so big as it looks on first picture. It looks that it is so height as washer bottle neck but on the second pic, there are owner fingers I had wrong perspecive, so it is probably smaller than 1 inch. I think I found it but to be sure, is it connector on wiring harness or connected to something like module or computer?

It on the right side. It has a black cover on it with all sorts of pictures about not soaking it wet.

Acwdjn, My dealer has told me the flash will be $103.00. A friend that services Buicks tell me GM provides the software to dealers for free.

I just used a relay for my fogs. They work with the parking lights. One click on the factory switch gets my fogs and parking lights. At night all the lights turn on together from the factory default. Works perfect.

I just bought a 2012 LT Hatchback and had it set up for towing behind my motor home. All went great and the owners manual has you pull fuse # 1 from the instrument panel block. Any idea what that fuse ties to? Manual said its' usage is for "DLIS" and nothing in the manual covers this. How can I find out?
