That sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen. I had a 93 dodge shadow that the passengers side loosened up during a downpore. The blade stopped in the up position, the drivers side came down, hit it and snapped the drivers side in half. Luckily it was at 3am and I was only doing 40

Yeah GM said it's designed to do that because the guy at the dealer didint know why they kept becoming loose because once they became loose they would fly around all over my windshield then he told me that he got ahold of GM and they said they were designed to loosen up so it does not strip anything. I have a video of it somewhere on YouTube when it first started to happen and I didint know why

YIKES!!!! That doesn't look like a very good "Feature". I can imagine the blade coming off and just scraping the crapola outta the window. Did they ever do anything for you to correct it?

Would love if you could turn the volume up and down with the gears up and down button I the console shifter. I never use the manual feature but my hand naturaly rests there.

That's actually a cool idea. I doubt I will use my Auto's manual stuff much myself, if at all. I just lifted my armrest today. I wanted a console, so I used that thing, but it was annoying and I can't get use to it. I do like it better gone. It gives more room and I am more comfortable just resting my hand on the shifter too. I do miss a full size console though, to rest on during long trips.

I'd like to get the wiring diagram and see if that's just a simple 2-way toggle, and I could easily put it in parallel with the volume control on the dash. Hmmmm....

Now I have 3 weird Custom "Features" I want to try this summer... thanks for the Idea...

Yea the dealer put it back on and gave me free wiper blades bc the ones on there were old

Hope the window didn't get scratched. I had one come off on my Jeep in a rain storm. Luckily it was passenger side, but after one swipe my windshield was toast.

You could always just stay in on bad days, I do. Or maybe get some Aquapel so you don't have to use your wipers at all...

Is there any easter eggs on our mylink radios, I now GM did this on earlier GM trucks if I remember you could press pre-set buttons on the radio and get engine diagnostics

The sonic has hill hold on all models auto or manual. It doesn't always kick in. I'm not sure but it may have to sense a steep enough hill and when you release the brake to get it to kick in. If your foot was slightly on the brake it may have canceled the hill hold.

I believe you, but I thought it was on only the standard. The first time I stopped on a hill mine REALLY rolled backwards.

I wasn't really paying attention, or expecting it to roll backwards, seeing as it was an automatic, but it did. At least 4 or 5 feet. Luckily no one was behind me. I've stopped on a few hills since and still feel it ready to roll back if I let my foot off the brakes.

I think I will take it to some hills tomorrow and see what conditions it does hold on, or doesn't.

didn't know it came on auto transmissions also, and you're right about it not kicking in all the time. It took a while for me to get used to it, it would really interfere if I needed to take off quickly while on a slope

I just tried to find it in the owners manual. I couldnt find it, not even for a manual trans. I know it works on my 13 auto. I have been on steep hills let of the brake, felt the trans engage, 2 seconds later I started rolling backwards.

Maybe that's the part I missed, the 2 second delay. Fool me once....

I'm ready for it now. It's just my 93 AWD AT Grand Cherokee seemed to hold longer, and after 21 years, I was use to that.

I guess they figure 2 seconds is enough time for you to move your foot over or engage the clutch if you have a manual.

I seem to recall reading in the propaganda that hill start assist was activated on inclines 5° or greater.

it's on auto and manual, yes, and it would activate in my driveway, which was really annoying when I wanted to roll backwards out of my driveway.

I personally find that the only time it activated was when I'd want me car to roll. Or if I were wanting it to work, then it would not work at all.
