It definitely works. maybe you should research more into how it works. You need to e applying pressure to the breakage before hand. my car is AT and it works fine. (even tho I don't need it)
However, I want to be able to, on a hill, sit there in neutral, put it in gear, and then immediately go I should be able to do that. I don't want to push through the brake to get moving. I understand the theory is that once the clutch plate moves the brake should be released and you won't really feel it, but I don't really like the thought of it. .
I tried hill hold out yesterday on a steep grade with a 2011 F350 4x4 Super Duty sitting pretty close to my rear bumper, praying it'd work, worked just fine.....whew....didn't really want to tangle with the F350![]()
I felt this kick in over the weekend. It made no difference in clutch engagement but I noticed it because I've owned 6 manual cars and on a steep hill where I would expect the weight of the car to roll back... the Sonic didn't.
You'll be fine, just remember more angle = more gas.
The thing that's weird to me is that on the auto it puts itself into neutral while at a stop.
When I let off the brake I can feel the slap back into gear.
