Yes, there is a difference. One vents to open air and one recirculates the charged air to be pressurized again. The BIGGEST difference is that you can run the BNR/Forge BVP and get the benifits of better design and boost hold over the Stock plastic part and you wont need the ECP option or even a tune at all since it functions exactly like the stock valve and the ECM is getting all the metered air back causing zero fueling issues.
NOW, the difference between the BNR/Forge BOV and BPV is less of an issue if you have the ECP tune, either will bolt up the BPV purges back into the system while the BOV purges to the open air. Performance wise I do not think one is superior to the other.
As for sound, if you're looking for that "Because Racecar" sound then the BOV is the way way to go. Once I get back into town and put some more miles on the BOV I will swap in the BPV and will get up video's, pic's and my review of it for y'all to enjoy.
