3 words: quarter inch drive
12 words: I didn't have a small bit to fit in a 1/4" drive.....lol
Damn, for got the lol, 13 words! No, I tried, I dug through all my bit sets hoping to find one, I would have glued that thing into a socket on a 1/4" extension to make it work. With the patience comment, I walked inside a few times, looked at the case of beer and thought "Chris would grab one..... This isn't over, lets wait until you're done to grab one." And then would get a glass of water and start over. The smaller tools would have helped but the biggest problem is getting your dick beaters into the tight space and once you figure that out have the room to actually move to do the job. Honestly, I'm the first to do this and I'm just sharing all my frustrations through the process so that people have the idea of this isn't quick job and that they have an idea of the thought process/tools needed to complete the job and possible make it easier on them. I could have wrote:
1. get a 6" extension (3/8" or preferably 1/4") and T30 bit
2. Pull stock air box/intake/heat shield.
3. Pull vacuum line from factory BPV.
4. Cram hand in from passenger fender side and remove three torx bolts from stock BPV.
4. Install BNR/Forge BOV or BPV replacing with factory torx bolts hand tight plus a little bit more.
5. Reinstall vacuum line.
6. Enjoy your new valve!!
