Lifetime average mpg 1.8 autos only please !

I'm Jealous, I get a whole 20 mpg in city and about 26 hwy

I have over 20xxx on mine now and I keep the tires inflated at 35, travel mostly highway 75% of the time and average about 35 miles /gal. On the last trip, I babied it and get 36.5 per gal.

No hills, flat land, tires good, only person to touch my car has been the dealer. The issues I've been having have dropped my mpg that low in the 11 months I've owned it. The dealer has it now, hopefully fixing it.

Mine is still low 30s.
I use regular, and most of my driving is highway anywhere from 65 to 80.

For the record, this is with 29psi in the tires. No idea why the dealer put them that low.
They're at 35 now so maybe I'll see an increase.

After 7000 miles & switching to non ethanol gas I'm at 35.3 city & 42.1 HWY for 38.7 combined. very pleased, this is with the AC sluggishness & what seems to be spark plug mis-timing or mis-firing. These symptoms are considerably less with the non-ethanol fuel. 87 octane w/ ethanol is very bad as is 92 octane, 89 is better but not as good as the non-ethanol.

Nice numbers RobinsonMac have you checked your spark plug gap? A fair number of members have found there gaps off spec or varying between cylinders, many that have found the gaps off and corrected them have stated better drivability. (Manual & the general consensus is .028" .035" seems to be considered good for those that want to run on the high end)

my mylink lifetime average is 37 all most all highway driving though i have a 1.4 auto too .

Average as of how much i have on it is.... roughly with CITY: 30-34... HWY: 40-44.... Most i've ever gotten it was 54.1.... i have no idea how... it only lasted for a few minutes, and then i got out of the slow lane. lol The one that i get more so for higher range for longer was roughly 48... Pics will be posted later, when i get home, or have wifi connection. :banana::banana::banana:

Just don't understand my mileage. I reset the DIC and I'm now getting 25.6. 18.6 miles to work all highway. Not happy at all. My 2.2 HHR got way better mileage. OnStar has a lifetime of 25.

Is that an app? I've never seen that before, and if it is on the forums somewhere, I guess I missed it... Hm i just took rough avg est, of what i've been getting on my odometer. Also I only have like 500ish miles on it, only had it for two weeks, so it could go up or go down later on... Anyways. If that is an app I could get, what happens after your 6 months are over with your OnStar*? Does the app go dead?

Yea it's the onstar app for iPhone. I believe you can get it for android also. You have to have an active onstar account to be able to use it. You can do a few cool things with it like send turn by turn directions to your car, unlock the doors or remote start.

My 2012 2LT 1.8 hatch used to get 32-33MPG. Its lifetime average was 32 the night it was totaled.

We drive mostly highway but with quite a bit of stop and go traffic. 110Miles a day which matters a lot as you have less startups.
