Forgive my ignorance but I know what a trans mount and engine mount are, what is this?
It's a front trans mount.

I have the ZZP control arms on the car as well. The control arms helped a lot, but it was still present. The combo of this mount and those arms seems to have defeated it. Oddly enough, I still get a slight amount if the roads are wetSo much want! This will probably be my next purchase. I've done similar mods on other FWD platforms, the difference is phenomenal; the biggest change I saw was an elimination of wheel hop induced by the drive train twisting in the cradle. Have you observed similar benefits?
Typoed on my iPhone
Droppin' knowledge on these bustas! The TTR mounts work great (at least on stock turbo), but in order to reduce twisting, they also stiffen in the vertical axis and transmit all the vibration from the vertically oscillating pistons.
The idea here is that it is an additional mount in a location that better prevents twisting, which allows it to use a softer bushing to avoid transmitting vibrations.
My question, is this sufficient to be used with the stock mounts? Should I sell my TTR butt massager, or keep it around for the fun days?
I wish I had someone near with an auto and that wouldn't be the case. I'll get it figured out.The automatic guys always have the hardest time.
Will they fit my car? Please say yes
I didn't want to deal with all the NVH those mount are notorious for producing.
OK. I just verified that the Cruze has a different front trans mount for the auto vs. the manual. Since both Cruze and Sonic share drivetrains, that would leave me to believe that this set will NOT currently work with the automatic Sonic.. Damn*t man!!

YES! I have stock mounts because of all the reviews/for sale posts for the TTR mounts. I didn't want to deal with all the NVH those mount are notorious for producing. I KNEW at some point in owning this car, I was going to figure out how to add a front mount to the trans.
The poly bushings I provide are 75a durometer which is a great compromise for performance and comfort. I expected more vibration, but it just hasn't happened. The gain in "directness" is immediately apparent though.
So my question to you.. get ttr mounts AND this one? Or just yours?
Me and my car would follow you to the junkyard and back. I trust your opinionThat's up to you. I didn't/don't want the TTR mounts because of the vibration. My intention was to build something that worked better and caused less vibration. This is a better option than what's available IMHO. This mount will alone will do the work of the other two, and wont rattle your car apart.

Since you decided to bluntly state about our product, which you clearly stated you never had, we will chime in here. Claiming so many vibs, but you don't and never had our product, sounds like a fast bash to gain market. Your 1 mount will not be as effective than replacing the two other mounts more firm. Zzp, ttr, any brand, don't care... You just can't add a new mount and forget about the originals.
1 you cannot have a product work Better AND and Less vibs. Think of what mounts do and how they work. Your mount system may have less vibs but there is no way it controls drivetrain movement better. You still have the stock mounts allowing them to move around.
Furthermore you should really advise your customers of structural issues your application may result in.
1 that part of the trans case is NOT designed to be a structural mounting point. Shift hard and a good chance the trans case WILL crack.
2 you are bolting to the front radiator support area. As soon as a customers hits something (a deer example) they will cause this weak member you are bolting to extend the force into the trans case and they will be out a $3000 transmission. Think of worse yet how the effect would be on a head on crash.
Sure hope you have good product liability insurance. Taking a lot of risk making a new mounting point on a car.
He did say he wasn't sure about your product because he didn't have. He also mentioned the multiple reviews about how your product vibrates. If you read about the product you will find it uses style mount the Cruze has. Are they braking a lot of trans for the Cruze? It seems like your coming here to bad mouth his product not the other way around.
**** you auto correct!
