New Trifecta EZFlash Features- Disable DTCs and Readiness Monitors

I know what EZ flash can do. I'm curious what BNR or Trifecta can do. Can THEY modify the readiness tables to be more tolerant to a fault INSTEAD of just turning the fault code off.

This is a far more functional solution to owners than have to pass a plug in test and their modifications have the potential to fail a readiness check or throw a code due to the changes.

I know of tuners than can do this, was wondering if (if needed) Trifecta can do it too.

Well, I'm pretty sure that they added the features (what this thread is all about....) so that they are not modifying (monitors on/off) the tune in a way that can cause any legal issues with them. They have pushed modifying these features to us and are leaving the liability on use. If you want them to modify it beyond what the EZ Flash software is capable of doing your probably better off talking directly to Jerry, Eric, Steven@ WOT-Tuning or Vince himself in private because Vince has way more control of the ECM than we can even begin to fathom. So I would say he is more than capable of doing it, you just have to ask him.

This will be released later this week, but here are a couple of screenshots of what you'll be able to do with EZFlash. You will be able to turn on and off any DTCs and any Readiness Monitors that you want. Not just clear codes that will come back later, I mean you will be able to permanently turn off whatever codes you want. We've also added an Import/Export function to this so that you guys can work together as a community to share your settings with each other.

We do want to make sure that everyone is aware that using these features to cheat emissions control could be a violation of federal and/or state law.

What I put in red is why they will probably not modify the tune the way you're wanting them to.

So I just downloaded the new EZFlash as I await my revised tune. I'll have an emissions control readiness test in November and I'm thinking about turning the P0420 code back on and getting a bung extender for the second O2 sensor so I can pass the test.

Guess I gotta start researching that.
