I was sure to tell my dealer a "replaced transmission 6xx miles" was unacceptable on my Carfax report and wanted a different car if that's what needed to be done.
Doesn't adding redline void the warranty

Would something like that appear on the carfax? I thought it was just accidents and such not service.
I've changed to the Redline and have done countless NLS and still haven't ground 2nd gear
Your car may not have been affected. If something is out if adjustment, as the tsb claims, I don't see how a heavier fluid would fix the issue. Yes I do plan on upgrading my fluid but you should have that "adjustment" done as well. I took my car in for the washer fluid recall and found out my model isn't affected. Not all sonics have the 1-2 grind that is why my dealer did more searching into my issue after driving another on the lot.

I don't see why you're protesting what I've tried and know to be true. Try the fluid, then when it doesn't grind I'll accept an apology in this thread or via PM.![]()
I have taken note of the grinding issues for GM. Please DM us if the car is not satisfactorily being serviced by the dealership with you VIN#, contact information, and situation. I hope all is going well despite the car issues.
