$3,200 left. I'm gonna meet my goal of having it paid off before the new year. I've been running lean for so long now, I've forgotten what it's like to spend money. And Christmas gifts are gonna have to suffer, but I'm not going to compromise on my goal.opcorn:
The baby is due mid January, and I plan on taking some time off work, so not having a car payment will be largely beneficial.
Then once I'm back to work, saving up for a used Equinox will begin. Learned my lesson though and I won't buy it until I can pay in full.![]()

I've got 120,000 miles on our 2006 Pontiac Torrent (same thing as the Equinox). This has been an extremely reliable vehicle with the only non normal maintenance repair being a $300.00 AC repair in the summer of 2013.
The newer versions of the Equinox are even nice than the old versions. The few things that I didn't like on our '06 have been corrected (biggest gripe was the window switches on the console - now on the door where they belong).
I love the way the rear seat can go forward or back - based on your need for leg room or cargo space. IIRC - it can move upto 8".
