In an attempt to revive this thread,
I went to a local dealer today (my 3rd attempt) to get this flash done. When I scheduled the appointment last week, the service advisor seemed fine with using an RS VIN. However, once he finally looked into it this morning, he was no longer cool with using a different VIN. But he did more digging and found that my 2014 LT showed 7 different calibration numbers--each of which depended upon the wheel set up, suspension, and transmission and none matching the calibration number that was confirmed in this thread or the North East thread (can't remember which) or any of the several calibration numbers that came up under an RS VIN that I gave. There were 3 options that matched my current setup (15" stock wheels and suspension with manual transmission). He looked at the three (one of which was the current program) and decided on which he thought would fit my needs best.
I drove it a little since and maybe noticed slight improvement, but I wouldn't say it's awesome just yet. However, when I replaced my shifter bushings last week, I didn't really notice a difference when I immediately took around the corner and back, but definitely noticed the difference when I went driving the next day. So maybe when I get the chance to do some fun driving I will be able to feel the difference.
However, I do plan to upgrade to 17" wheels and stiffen the suspension relatively soon, but I wanted to feel the difference of the power steering before that. Anyway, I may still try my luck at a non-dealership service shop to get the same calibration that the rest of you were getting.
