Start Of My 1.8l Turbo System

Heres my quick opinion..
If i get through the whole forced induction fabrication part of this so i have a car sitting with a turbo all complete... i will find someone to tune it.. until then i dont really care.. i know its all fine to look into it. im just saying i dont think tuning is a cause for concern.. i think the whole make a turbo work is the part to figure out

Well...its yet another good idea.... There is a mountain of good ideas and possible options for this build. Your imagination and creativity is your only limit... My idea on the turbo build still seems to be much different than everyone else i see..
Everyone is shooting for a turbo system that mounts about the same as the 1.4 does... Down low and tucked in.. my system will sit high and off to the drivers side... I dont think it matters as long as the system is built correctly.. im just approaching it differently. I will be relocating my battery and running the charge pipes different as well. If you have questions or ideas you wanna toss around. And that really goes to anyone you can hit me up 563 594 8688

Well. Ill fill you guys in. I just took another job. So ill be working 7 days a week 12 hrs a day. With that being said. Im looking at 6 months and i will be ready to order more parts than you guys can beleive. Its a matter of money and time and the biggest thing is its my dd currently.. so i need to get to a point where i can stop everything and have christmas in may with 10 k plus worth of parts and im gonna go from stock to done in a week flat. I know theres plenty of people who dont beleive that but thats how im gonna do it.

He's probably well compensated so it's not illegal, I can imagine it sucks though.

Depends on the trade, company/union, and state.
At my last job I was legally required to be allowed the15th day in a row off, regardless of the day of the week (eg Mon-fri are my normal work week I could take off Monday if I wished for my 15th day). I could also volunteer to work past that and often worked many weeks straight; my longest stint was 3 mo straight with only 2 days off for family occasions, if 12s were available I would have worked them.
Then I have a friend that works at a non union shop that is required the 8th straight day of work off, even if he wanted to work it he couldnt. Strangely he can volunteer for back to back shifts (16s), whereas 14s were my max.

Yeah, here we can't work more than 7 in a row without a full day off. As well as some lunch/break rules depending how long the shift is. I just couldn't imagine working 12 hours a day every single day without a day off in sight. I just put in about 75 hours of OT last month to drop some $$ into the Sonic (as well as Christmas presents) and that was miserable.

Well. Its for 2 seperate companys. So i dont think i will have any days off lol. And ive been working 5 12s so adding a few wont be horrible. Also.
Young, single, love money, love cars(requires lots of money) so i see this as a good thing. Hah and as always the cool thing.. get a new job and go back to current employer for more money. I did this and ended up tripling my weekly income.. it was 6$ worth of raises in a matter of minutes. Pretty happy lol

Hey is it possible to run the tubing from the Throttle Body over the engine a little(wrapping the tubing tho) and have the CAI re-routed to look like the 1.4???? With the turbo sitting in the same area as well. 
In theory it should work right?? Just imagine the pic as the 1.8

thanks MITDR i wasnt sure. I been on ebay.uk for the whole weekend looking at parts lol. Now how about the intake mani off the 1.6 and have it on the 1.8 and have everythng piped out like the 1.6T or 1.4T.
