And if I left the impression of "don't do it, trade up" that is not what I meant to convey. Because I had a supercharger (RSM kit featuring a Vortech5) added to a Cavalier, my feeling is "I've been there and done that" but it seems to me to be a worthy endeavor. I push for supercharging because one can get excellent results with 6-8lbs of boost (easier on engine internals) where it takes twice as many lbs when turbocharging. But it is generally easier to do a physical upgrade when turbocharged where with the supercharger you are limited to pulley/belt for a physical upgrade. At least, that is how a remember it.

Of course one could go to a bigger supercharger, but a supercharger goes for $4500 to $6000. A lot of the expense for turbocharging (exhaust mods and intercoolers) will already be in place if one decides to install a bigger turbo.
