Either the MyLink sucks or my Iphone sucks, really not sure which yet. Going to replace my 5 month old iphone 5 tomorrow. Praying it's the phone!
I love my Sonic and MyLink!
I read a bit through this thread b ut stopped after page 13-14 of 56. Can anyone tell me where we stand with a MyLink Hack to play video while in motion? or other apps? Also has anyone tried, in park, to play a full length movie from a USB? I downloaded the Avengers.mp4 and loaded it onto a USB drive. it plays on the computer no problem. Plug it into the Sonic's usb. It acknowledges that it is a video file. But it only says Unsupported File Type. even though mp4 IS s supported format. Is it simply because it it too large a file? (its 2.19Gb)
My specs, 2013 Sonic LT with MyLink and 1.4L Turbo 6 Speed Manual.
Thanks in advance for the help =)
Well the part about IPhone is not correct. iPhone can use both ports at the same time.I am under the impression that the i phone uses the USB port and the Android uses the Bluetooth gateway. That impression is based on what I recall reading in the Owners Manual so may not be correct.

Well the part about IPhone is not correct. iPhone can use both ports at the same time.
Example, stream Pandora over Bluetooth while running Bringo via the USB.
That does not work for me... With my iPhone 4s paired and also connected via USB, the bluetooth audio source is disabled.
The only thing I can do is run both over USB. I don't use Pandora, but I have tried using TuneIn and BringGo simultaneously. That works really well, BringGo tries to take over to give directions and my source suddenly kicks back to XM because BringGo has crashed TuneIn.Even when it doesn't crash TuneIn, it's quite annoying to have to wait for it to rebuffer every time BringGo is done giving directions.
I will give it a try, however that would not please me as a long term solution. The Bluetooth worked just fine in my 09 Silverado and in my wife's new Encore. There is in fact a problem in my Sonic that needs to be addressed. The problem is random, it has connected perfectly on my drive home last night and drive in to work this morning. It will rear its ugly head again, always at the worst possible moment. Seems as if there is a loose connection or bad board. Not sure how the system is designed. Patience is running low.
I have the 2013 Sonic LTZ Turbo (BLUE!!) and my iPhon 5 connects and disconnects at random for varying amounts of time (minutes to hours!!!) the whole time I am in the car. My dealership just finally replaced my radio and that hasn't helped either. SOMETHING is wrong. Somewhere.....and I am so frustrated. This is a big thing now that Illinois is completely handsfree!

I tried plugging a 1TB drive into my car today, Sadly it didn't work
Maybe I'll play with formatting it and see if I can trick it into working.
