Did you go there specifically to upgrade mylink? I was just in a couple weeks ago for an erl change and nothing was mentioned regarding update.

)...while i was there the Dealer guy said I had an update due on my car. I'd known about it for awhile from a buddy here on the site...

I had my radio completely unresponsive to touch control or steering wheels controls. No audio was playing even though the fm was connected, and no matter how many time I turned the car off/on it was unresponsive. So i was going to take it in to service the next day and when i started the car to go, everything was fine. Anyone else have this issue?:blankface:

Oh no, Danny! Were you able to get this addressed with the dealership prior to the update? Please let me know if you need our assistance!

I will have to agree, have the dealer do the f/w.. luckily my unit is still functional, dealer has to order a new camera since the backup camera failed to work, although I am wondering if anyone on the forums has access to GM Firmware site, perhaps I can just load the most recent f/w for my Sonic LTZ 2014, that may resolve the camera.
MyLink refuses to read a playlist
I've had my 2014 Sonic since January 2014. I need to verify the software version of MyLink.
My radio refuses to recognize playlists no matter what I do. I have created playlists in notepad, vlc, and windows media player. I made sure that the playlist didn't use a drive letter when referencing file locations. I put the playlists in the main directory or a playlist folder. MyLink just won't recognize a single playlist file.
I gave up fighting and I make playlists the hard way, manually numbering files so that they play in the order I want.
Anyone else have this problem? Did a software update fix the issue?

I'm running iOS 8.3 beta and while it has the Apple Carplay feature, and asks you to hold down the mic on the steering wheel to set it up, currently MyLink doesnt support it with our current models. Even with the software update as im running software version 24xxxx on my MyLink.
Still holding out on getting a letter from Holden here telling me to bring the car in a for a software update that enables Car Play.

When you all download the files online, do you scan for viruses? Just imagine the possibilities of what a virus could do to your car.

While the possibility exists for a virus to infect your computer, we cant even create our own apps for these things. Nor can we get a straight answer on what OS is on them (WinCE with QNX Front End is the majority vote). The possibility for a virus to infect your MyLink is very slim at this point, but I would worry about whatever device you are downloading the files to. That being said, modern virus scanners would have no idea how to detect a virus for MyLink. Anyways... Better safe than sorry.
Is there russian firmware dump for Aveo/Sonic? I have seen this only for Cruze and I know some people (with Cruze) where this firmware works well. You may try different russian version, there should be multiple builds available to download.
Because there are hardware differences for certain markets, it will need to be replaced. Stop loading random firmware people!!!
