OK, I found out that the door harness does have the signal wiring, but the body harness does not. I'm going to pop a pin in the harness connector and tap the turn signal output on the BCM with the other side. Shouldn't be too bad, but accessing everything is a bitch.
Here's the body harness side of the body-door connector. The missing pin is where the turn signal wire goes.

I'm awaiting the "terminated leads" from GM so I can pop them into the open slot on the connector. I've got everything else I need to tap the signal outputs at the BCM. I'll try to do a write-up with some photos and diagrams after I get it all done.
The door-body connectors are a bit of a pain, especially on the passenger's side, but with enough fiddling I figured them out. You have to get the boot retainer off first and that's a PITA, then you have to disconnect the door harness which is also a PITA, follow that by reaching in and blindly removing or pulling aside the foam insulation and then you can easily squeeze the tabs on the body harness and pull it through and into the car.
Figuring it all out was the hard part, finishing up will be easy and I'd be able to do it all again pretty easily.

Yeah, it's a bitch. The black ring is the boot retainer and you have to use a screw driver or something on the top of it to push down and release it on top, then you can tilt it back and pull the bottom part out.
To get the door harness disconnected you have to push down on the tab at the top of the black lock, pull it back and then push it down a little to release the harness connector.
The real bitch is pulling everything out on the inside of the car to gain access to the back of the body harness connector. The BCM has to come out, then a foam insulator. After that you can squeeze the connector and pull it into the car.
