CCS this thread has much to say about how Chevrolet encourages dealer incompetence and it would be helpful if you bumped this upstairs.
I understand dealers being silly but just plain stupidity is unacceptable and blaming a tool that does nothing more than read an event code for the code is the very Mt. Everest of stupidity.
I dare CCS to respond.

It TICKS me OFF hearing about that water leak. It took an EX-dealer 3 months to "Try" and fix that. It's a known problem, but they only issued a bulletin # PI0826, so it's ONLY fixed if you complain.
Now, with all the summer heat and humidity, my car stinks from all the damage that leaking did almost a year ago.

Thank you for the reply! My dealer tried to tell me it was windshield seal and not under warranty and it would cost me!!!! Didn't know there was a cabin filter. Guess I didn't read the entire manual but it's hard when there's no physical copy.
Now when I try to get rid of this thing it's going to have 20,000 car fax reports. So much for resale value. I'm at my wits end. Loved this car until the poor craftsmanship and awful service reared their ugly heads.

Also I realized some of my post off topic here- sorry about that.
I'll tell you what happened how I made the UG kinda glitch- it was my fault I'm sure.
I installed some subs and wanted to unhook them from the battery before I took the car to the dealer. When I installed them initially, I didn't think that unplugging the UG from the ecm was necessary; in hindsight I will probably do that anytime I unplug the battery as a safety precaution. But this particular time I rebooked the positive all the way before the neg terminal- and when I started the car, the UG didn't light up properly and my stability control light was turning on and off, and the rpm needle was being random/not working. I should have unplugged the gauge before I let them in the car, because as soon as it was unplugged everything went back to normal. I told them I would leave it unplugged since they think that's what was making my car act funny. After taking about a 300 mile trip, and leaving it off for thurs & Friday, I plugged it back in late last night. It's back to normal (the UG). However, each time since then I have started the car (shopping today, and a couple trips last night) about 4-6 times, the P0299 code would pop up on the UG as a pending code. But today on the second start, the CEL finally illuminated. According to the UG it's thrown the "pending" quite a few times, but I thought maybe it just found the old ones during its routine diagnostic thing- I took the car to the dealer when the UG was telling me of a current P0299 and they said it wasn't showing at all on the ecm with their tool.

Something I discovered about my UG... In the ignition power sensing mode it keeps modules awake in the car and kills a perfectly good battery in as little as a weekend in cold weather. I disconnected the UG and did a current draw test. Modules shut down properly and the battery stays strong sitting sitting for over a week.
Probably not an issue for people who drive the car every day, but if you're having a problem with battery drain disconnect the UG and see if it helps.

I just got my ultragauge in the mail yesterday. i used an old cell phone vent mount seems to work pretty good and gives me the option to remove it quickly. As far as operation i found it to be very easy to set up and use even without an instruction manual although i did download it just in case. I saw 23.3PSI on my saturday morning drive the visibility of the gauges is very good, much easier to use than Tourqe Pro and does not drain me cell phone battey. Just too bad GM could not put a full set of instruments in an otherwise well equipped car.

Not fat guy approved. You should NEVER block your vent. Always cover the passenger's!!!
Maybe a UG issue? Maybe the tune?
I bought one almost immediately after I got he car and it has been fine. I used it a lot for doing the 0-60 runs. All worked great and I got a number of good runs under my belt.
I put on the Trifecta tune and it seems like things aren't working as well. If I do a real hard launch, I get the 0-30 time but the 60 time never registers even though I see 62 on the speedometer. If I sort of take a lazy launch or just start the test and sort of drive normally, I do get the 60 number to come up. I asked both UG and WOT and neither had any answers. I did do a UG reset this morning but haven't had a chance to see if anything has changed, If it has, I'll post an update.
Anybody else ever see this?

check out the last few posts in this. Dealership swears up in down my "aftermarket tuner" is causing issues with my car getting a misfire under heavy accel.. (randomly and not often enough to be able to replicate) yet... unplugging my "tuner" showed no more codes and fixed my issue....
I asked for the service manager.. was told he'd call me after waiting on hold and of course am now being ignored and they wont respond.. OH well I'll take my business else ware but it's still annoying at their ignorance and flat out ignoring me and basically calling me a liar and claiming it's a "tuner"

The dealer I had to go to because the one I bought my car from sucked so bad tried to tell me my ultra gauge was making my car throw codes and mess with the electrical system. They swore it. Even though I was only using it to watch the non-existent boost (my turbo was damaged by their repairs). Loads of bs.
