What's in the photo (THIS IS ONLY FOR BOOST) I'm building each part in it's own environment to keep it simple.

1X arduino unit (unp, mega, nano) doesn't matter for testing. I was going to replace this unit with a custom PCB with a lock so you couldn't get my code but I think more people with try it if it's open for everyone.

1X big ass LCD... more on this later

1X ABS (sample boost)

1X programmer

thats it for boost, next is coolant temp.

lol for now yes it's a mess but when it's all sorted it'll be quite small in size the LCD is a 2.5 X 1.5 inch or 128X64 GLCD

All the circuits, and sensor components will be encased under the dash/out of the way. the LCD can be placed anywhere. I plan on making a mold of the upper dash tray and installing it there.

MrSonic - keep up the good work, it seems like you have the know-how to make this work - I am really keen on finding a more 'stock' looking solution to rectifying the car's sad absence of gauges.

Well I was planning on doing the test install over the weekend (61 deg and sunny) but the next day on Saturday the temp dropped to 17 deg and 3 inches of snow... So testing is being put off for now. I'm going to start working on optional parts and getting the code documented.

Update:

Still haven't installed the testing unit, however I have gotten the build cost under $40 per unit. My goal is around $30 per unit (un-built). Even better news is that I did testing on my friends truck and it is working! There are now 4 versions of the build. I will post more about them later, I'm also setting up a how too and web page for people who want to build them your self.
