Who uses the arm rest?

I just tried using it on my way home from work. I can't reach to shift

I am tall and sit in a normal driving position so I can't use it. It's about 3 inches to short. Meaning my head is almost on the roof. With my seating position and the arm rest the way it is its pretty well useless.

I use my arm rest daily. I have my seat adjusted so that the armrest is pretty much even with the rest on the door (maybe its an inch lower). From where I sit, I can rest an elbow on the armrest with my palm on either the shifter or the wheel. Of course, I momentarily lift my elbow from the rest while shifting. I'm right at 6'.

I tried to use it when i first got my sonic but quickly put it in the up position as it just dont feel right. The design is weak and i just dont care for it. I just use the window control ledge on the left to relax my left arm on and use my right to hold the wheel. The stock arm rest does nothing for me.

I must fall in the "perfect arm length" category. I use mine everyday. Do wish it was more of a compartment/armrest combo though.

I use mine every time I drive, although when the passenger (whom ever it is at that time) uses it as well it's hard to put my e-brake up and down.

I'm 6'5" and have monkey gogo arms, I can reach almost 9' standing up, so with seat almost all the way back I can still use the armrest and grab the wheel.

Holden Barina owner here looking at some form of armrest. You should feel pleased that you actually got an armrest in your cars. Whats the general consensus on the 'POS' Chinese centre consoles?

SFLS, what's your pant inseam?

I'm 6'7" and my inseam is usually 34" for most pants. Sometimes I need a 35".

I ask, because I'm in the same boat as you. My inseam is relatively short for my height, so I'm all-torso and also have monkey arms. My 'wingspan' is close to 6'9" if I remember correctly.

At my height of 6'7", I've once dated someone who was 4'11". Haha.
