I already have cruise control, but I had asked for a 2012 sonic. That's what they gave me as a quote. I'm sure other years would be around the same price may vary based on location and what not.

Damn far away.. I was about to say if it was close id go to that dealer and add it because no dealers here will add it here unless I know what all needs to be done ro add it because if GM does not make a kit for ur car they dont know how to do it.

I called my local Chevy dealer, and the service tech told me it couldn't be done.

Well when I was in Louisville at a GM plant when they inspected my car I threw it out there about adding it and they said it can be added if you have the money. You just have to buy a new steering wheel with the controls and the wire harness for it I think he said. The reason they say it can't be done because it's 2 much work for the dealers to do it

The auto trans has a manual mode but I would hardly call it having the means to drive as a manual.
I liked the idea as a concept but could never adjust to it in real life.

I wanted to add these switches to my '12 sonic lt steering wheel since i don't have the cruise control and audio functions. would it be possible without buying a steering wheel that already has them. here are the two links:

i saw different types of clock springs on ebay but i'm not which is for the horn and airbag or wires for everything else. one shows a set wires with one yellow connector and the other has two yellow connectors. this will show it a lot easier:

I been told you gotta change the wire harness and clock spring and flash your car for the cruise control to work.. The reason the 2013 sonics can get cruise control added because the radio controls are standard in all trims so all they gotta do is swap out the steering wheel and flash because they have the correct clock spring and wire harness and the 2012s don't

Both have 2 yellow wires. Yellow wires are air bag.
It has to do with the other connection
