leaking oil pressure sensor

just a note in case anyone else has this problem - the oil pressure warning light on my 2012 1.8L Sonic came on as I stopped at a traffic light. Pulled over, shut it down and checked that oil level was OK. It was, and the light stayed off on startup, but came on again at next stop. My car is a manual, and I was able to keep the light off by holding the revs over 2000. (was only a block from home, so I drove it that way) Got it towed to the dealership, they replaced a faulty/leaking pressure sensor - as a bonus, got a free oil change. The loaner was a Sonic hatchback (mine's a sedan) - had some fun with the manu-matic, but glad I opted for the manual trans.

Does the power train warranty cover this part? I think I remember it does not cover sensors but want to make sure before I go empty handed on cash this morning.

And of course, it didn't happen today so the dealership couldn't do anything. I'm wondering if it was because the freezing temperatures we had the past 2 days that was causing it to go off? My engine temp was minus 4.8 degrees Fahrenheit when cold start.

Isn't there a string here about a recall of some 1.8L for this happening when very cold?
