Worse on a scale but better than nothing and if staying below 8lbs of boost engine internals need not be upgraded. There are good reasons for going with a centrifugal supercharger otherwise why are so many using them?
Space available needs to be considered and as I posted I have seen no evidence that anyone is working on a raised cowl hood for the Sonic.
All forms of forced induction rob power but the idea is to get the most net in a cost effective manner and that includes working within the space available.
And remember, this is a thread about supercharging and not about which is better, supercharging or turbocharging.
