Hi all. Kind of new to the site and I don't have any other posts besides my introduction. I hope I'm posting this in the correct place. But I've been having a little issue with Mylink and it has to do with sources. You can either read my little description of it or watch a short youtube video that I made.
Essentially when I bought the car and saw it had the upper storage compartment my first reaction was, "Great I'll keep an ipod plugged in up there all the time as my dedicated car ipod." So I did this but after a few days I noticed a little bug or something that has become a little irritating for me. Let me preface this by saying that this is extremely nitpicky and I otherwise love everything else about the car. It is that one thing that just irritates me.
Now when I get in my car I have two devices. I have one dedicated car Ipod that stores all of my music for the mylink radio. I also have my phone in my pocket that connects through bluetooth. One day when driving to work I realized that I had a song on my phone that wasn't on my Ipod in the car. So I went to change the source from Ipod to bluetooth but noticed bluetooth was blacked out. Now I was driving down the highway and every second I'm trying to figure this out is another second my eyes aren't on the road. I try making a call and activating Siri handsfree and those both work. Why won't bluetooth music work?
When I get home with some trial and error I figured out that when you have an iPod plugged into the system you are unable to switch to a bluetooth music source. I guess I'm asking if anyone else has had this problem, can you replicate what happens, and how did you fix it? Check out the video. I know I'm not the only person out there who has thought of this.
