Thanks for all the supportive messages- it helps to ease the painful silence in my car!
Y'know, after reading BrickedMyLink's story, I guess I don't feel so bad. Hey, at least my MyLink broke on its own, and not due to some dealer eff-up.
Agree with Laborsmith and also with BrickedMyLink. In some ways I do applaud GM, but the QA/deployment on the MyLink software is pretty awful. I can only hope that GM was in such a rush to get the product out that they didnt have time to complete the normal amount of QA testing on MyLink. Lots of bugs and shortcomings still in the system, and obviously some reliability problems too.
Here's to hoping whoever manufactures the MyLink units has their factory running at full tilt, so we can all get replacements soon.

When I pair my Samsung S4, I can't call on mylink. I have done it before, although now I can't get it to work... what gives?
I am able to play my music, it's just the phone calls the call audio is not checked and appears to be off. The frustrating part is I can't select it because it disconnects the device. Help please.

Interesting. I have noticed complaints (similar or not I can not say as I admit I am not sure how all this works) on Camaro forums, which use a more sophisticated version of MyLink.

Wow, same thing happened to me on Monday! Mylink was fine but I had a nail in my tire and was having that replaced and the update at the same time. My progress calls were that the software was not working and they are on the phone with tech support. yesterdays call was that the radio is no longer working and they are ordering me a new radio and to wait a couple more days. I came on here to see if anyone heard of that before and now I know, I am not alone. So... backordered a few weeks?? really? I was told a couple of days....

If I had known about this, I would not have done it. I thought I was getting the original update with the Bringgo app. I have no idea what this update I am getting is for (and seriously, I still don't... I assume more apps?). I read up about the first update months ago on here and figured by now, the dealership knows how to do it. Also, I wasn't going to drop it off just for that so I was waiting until 7500 for my first oil change and kill two birds with one stone, but I guess I was using a "brick" instead.:blankface:

When I went for my second oil change they did an update without me knowing. I saw it on the receipt :\ but I have seen no difference for the better or worse.

This may sound like a stupid question, but I was wondering if the people having the problem with this "new" update had the orignial update done first? Meaning, I am bypassing the originial update for this new one. If I had done them in "order" would it have worked? Does this make any sense?

Yeah I had a previous update done but my whole mylink went caput a couple months ago and they had to replace the system under warrenty. So I'm not sure if in order or out of order matters.

The more I think about my last post, the more it does make sense. I am wondering if all the people that posted on here about their radio breaking during the latest MyLink update, did you have the first update done? (the one that was supposed to give you the bringgo app) I am wondering if the dealerships are not doing them both.. in order... if you've never had an update before. I mean if you have version 1 and trying to get version 3, you need version 2 first. Just a thought?

I had the first update but when in for an oil change declined another update.
So far, no problems with MyLink. Even BringGo works as advertised.
Can not speak to Pandora or the other components as I do not use them and hope to heaven I never will feel a need to use them.

I believe it could be done but not inexpensively. I once guessed about $1500 in parts plus relays/wires and do not recall seeing any informed dissent. Cost aside, availability of components would prove to be an even greater road block.
To my knowledge it has not been done and I am not aware of anyone trying.

That's really a lot of value for the two hundred bucks I spent to get this from the factory.
