Ill try the thing with xm again where they resend the signal. Maybe it's because the radio was reprogrammed? Not going to bring it back in for only that.
Chevy may have finally gotten its act together on the Mylink upgrade. Have you noticed that there haven't been any 'dealer upgrade horror' posts on here in a few days? The type of posts that were common on here a week or two ago (dealer knows nothing about it, dealer wants to charge me, dealer won't do it, dealer bricked my radio, etc.). So it looks like dealers have gotten the memo.

Or everyone is afraid to get it done. The dealer I finally was able to get it from got a call in advance from infotainment support. That may have been how they heard about it.

Hey Chevy, I see you are making an even newer mylink for some cars next year.
We deserve all of the functionality they are getting in that mylink, too.
You need to standardize.
And I want Netflix.

The dealer trainng podcast for Sonic and Spark MyLink was scheduled for Thursday morning and I suspect took place as scheduled. That should help.
The other Chevy vehicles already get different versions of MyLink in which nav is an additional $795 option and real time traffic etc an additional up to $3 monthly.
I have not heard of anyone being able to run BringGo and these other versions and I do suspect (human nature to test limits) it has been tried.

I recall someone mention that you could reduce the number of favorites folders but can't figure out how. Was this a mistake?
There may only be four of five broadcast stations that I would ever listen to. I do not need 7 pages for tuning favorites, just one...

Yes it's after getting the pi9014a update. I set mine to 3 pages. Before the update there is no option for pages your stuck with 7

After the update I've had two issues pop up:
1) MyLink will turn on and start playing the radio when I start the car (after being turned off prior to turning off the car). I never listen to the radio and would disable it completely if I could figure out a way to get AM, FM and especially XM Channel 1 off the sources list.
2) I have two USB thumb drives plugged into a little 4-port USB hub. MyLink insists on playing songs off one particular USB drive no matter if it's listed as USB1 or USB2. Even If I shut off the car while playing songs off of the other drive. My only guess is that Speedy Gonzalez gets recognized faster since it's a smaller capacity (4gb vs 16gb) but they still get enumerated based on which USB port they're plugged into. This is new since the PI0914 reflash.

I know 1 of the issues the PI0914A update was supposed to fix was the radio going to xm1 on start up. The first 8 starts were fine. Since then it seems to happen at least 1 out of 3 starts. Sometimes 2 or 3 in a row. Has anyone els been seeing this more often since the update. I had xm send the signal again but it didn't help. Before the update it was about 1 in 10 starts.

I have only had the screen/radio go to XM1 twice. The first time was after I renewed XM but had to get the signal sent to take. That was before the flash. The second time was the first time I started the car after the flash. I can not recall any other occurrences. Since this thread started I have made an effort to take note if it did.

I just dropped off my Spark and they had no idea what I was talking about with the update. I had them pull up the notice, which is now on version D and they agreed to do it, but the update doesn't show as needed when they consult the GM Vin check, which seems to be the big issue.

I wasn't able to see. It turns out the ended up bricking my radio and I have to go back in Monday and they'll try to see what they can do to fix it with infotainment support from GM. Not impressed.

Okay, called my local dealership (Courtesy Chevrolet in San Diego) and the service rep I spoke to was unaware of the MyLink update. He was friendly though and asked for the bulletin # and said he'd speak to a tech and call me back. So we'll see...may suggest they test it out on a Sonic on their lot first before I volunteer to be the guinea pig.

That's a good idea.
I wish I thought of that before 2 trips to one dealer and several calls to infotainment support before finding the one dealer anywhere close who had the equipment and software to do the update. Of course I was the 1st one they did. Luckily it worked.

Yeah I have no time or patience for that. That's why I usually pay my local mechanic to make repairs vice the dealership even though it may be free at the dealer. Plus I trust my mechanic more...anyway I did speak to a tech today and he found the bulletin and said he'd make sure they had what they needed first to do it and call me back. I suggested they try it out on one of their cars and he said that it was a good idea. We'll see if they call me back (confidence low).
